They have a right to speak out against the war. We live in the United States of America.

What good is an online petition going to do?

Agreed and what about people like Reagan and Heston. Think before you apply your name to things like this...

Free Speech comes with responsibility...celebrities lie. Under the guise of an anti- war movement they want a democrat in office to support their pro abortion agenda.
The petition is in place to show celebs that Americans don't listen to them anymore.

Good petition. It should be sent to the producers and studios- not to the actors. The actors don't care as long as someone is signing their paychecks. It's the ones worried about how the film does in the box office that need to be targeted.

The producers to George Clooney's film "Solaris" should get a copy for example. That movie is apparantly sucking in a big way as far as box office receipts go.

I signed it, and proud of it. Yes they are Americans and they have a right to speak out against just about anything, just don't do it in my name. Also, please note that most celebrities are full of it, largely ebcause they seek publicity from this sort of "protest", just to resuscitate "flagging" careers. They are hardly responsible about anything, let alone free speech.

As for the remarks about Reagan and Heston, Ronald Reagan left the Motion Picture Business long before his Presidency, probably because he realized that he made a better human being than an actor. He certainly was a better President than most of what the Democrats had to offer. Heston I believe serves as a spokesman for the NRA, at least when he speaks it seems that he truly believes in what he says.

As for the rest of Hollywood's loudmouths, from personal experience I can only say that when many of them open their mouths to express an opinion, regardless from what side of the political spectrum they speak from, they are an embarassment. That's largely due to the fact half of them are so removed from normal, everyday life they have no clue as to what is really going on. To further clarify for you my opinion, even if they spoke out in favor of the war I would tell them to keep quiet. They are just a bunch of phonies who are out to promote themselves and could care less about their fans, until these fans stop paying.

Reagan left acting to become a statesman; Heston is in full support of NRA. So what do these two men have in common with a bunch of "it's all about me" socialists, who would flee this country is they would get the kind of government they are so rabidly desiring to represent.

Suggesting a signature list against these people is un-American!!

Sean Penn, Babs, and other Hollyweird entertainers are most knowledgable in critical thinking and the major strategic problems facing the U.S. They should be entrusted with our national defense policy for their skill!

After all....they are high school graduates.

Dittos...Heston et al have classs, I've never heard them bashing Clinton specifically in public especially during a conflict. President Bush senior held his tongue as well during his son's Presidential race. Some have class and some don't.

'Celebrity' and 'Pundits' is what they have in common. But go ahead and sign a petition against the 1st amendment, it's your right.
