The Twelve Days of Christmas are probably the most misunderstood part of the church year among Christians who are not part of liturgical church traditions. Contrary to much popular belief, these are not the twelve days before Christmas, but in the Western Church are the twelve days from Christmas until the beginning of Epiphany (January 6th; the 12 days count from December 25th until January 5th).

Within the given time, I couldn't think of much other than the occasional intake of breath. You haven't missed anything. Any ideas?

Oh, dear! I went down the thread a bit, and realized I posted a very similar answer to you a few years back.
The tree is going down
You have a set day when you bring the tree down? With us it isn't on a certain day. Just, whenever...
However, this year it's a bit more complex as my wife gave birth to our first child at 3am yesterday and I'm bringing her home from the hospital later today. I haven't had the time or energy to strip the tree yet. Hopefully I'll manage it later this evening!
our tree is coming down today, Saturday Jan 6 th.....we had a lovely dinner last night with company and the house looked beautiful with all the lights and I will miss it until next year....
