“But not today. Your rats don’t get this today. They wouldn’t have it anyway. That they wouldn’t. There’s where you got to know rats. Rats is suspicious. Terrible suspicious, rats is. So today they gets some nice clean tasty oats as’ll do em no harm in the world. Fatten em, that’s all it’ll do. And tomorrow they gets the same again. And it’ll taste so good there’ll be all the rats in the districk comin along after a couple of days.”
“Rather clever.”
“You got to be clever on this job. You got to be cleverer’n a rat and that’s sayin somethin.”
“You’ve almost got to be a rat yourself,” I said. It slipped out in error, before I had time to stop myself, and I couldn’t really help it because I was looking at the man at the time. But the effect upon him was surprising.
“There!” he cried. “Now you got it! Now you really said somethin! A good ratter’s got to be more like a rat than anythin else in the world! Cleverer even than a rat, and that’s not an easy thing to be, let me tell you!”

What the bonehead Murray essentially did was ask these high school students, "Why O why can't the US be more like St. Osama?" It is not at all different from Bill Maher's praising the vicious Twin Towers terrororists (who sneaked into the aircraft and slashed the throats of helpless, unarmed stewardesses and pilots before delivering the ultimate sucker punch to thousands of similarly unarmed and helpless souls whose only crime was to arrive for work that morning) as "brave."
We cannot let this rest. The more they try to defend Murray, the worse she looks. We must keep them on the defensive for there is no response they can make--apart from mercilessly repudiating Murray's idiot comments (which they will never do)--that will give her cover.

| Voortplanting | De jongen worden naakten blind in een nest van los stro, lompen en dergelijke geboren. Een worp bestaat meestal uit circa 7 jongen, maar een groot wijfje kan er wel 11 krijgen. Onder gunstige omstandigheden kan een wijfje jaarlijks vijf worpen met in totaal 40-50 jongen grootbrengen. Elke draagtijd duurt 24 dagen. De jongen zijn na drie maanden eveneens in staat zich voort te planten. Gelukkig voor de mens worden vele jonge ratten door katten, uilen, vossen en andere roofdieren verdelgd. Jonge ratten komen na een week of drie naar buiten. |
| Gedrag | Bruine ratten leven in ondergrondse holen, waar platgetreden paadjes naartoe leiden. Het zijn vooral nachtdieren. Ze zijn zeer achterdochtig ten opzichte van vreemde voorwerpen. Soms duurt het dagen voordat ze van lokaas eten of in een val lopen. Het zijn uitstekende zwemmers en duikers. |

But the citizens of Wyden's fair state elected him nonetheless.
Having said that, I decry Patty Murray's stupidity. This article is bull hockey.
There's no doubt about it ... there is so much vermin popping up in these fields, I need an automatic weapon.
Liar.
He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day-care facilities, building health-care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful.
"He's made their life better. We have not done that. We haven't been out in any of these countries helping them build their infrastructure."
I guess doing all of these wonderful things for people must be bad then.
