The New Jersey National Guard's brass believes that Jews and Muslims don't believe in God? C'mon already, this is ridiculous.

Dumas replied that the blessing could offend Jews and Muslims Who also believe in a God. This is rubbish. I posted my protest through that website to Mr Dumbas*

"I was proud to serve the veterans who have served us," said Cubbage, who in 2001 reenlisted in the New Jersey National Guard just so that he could be the first enlisted man to salute his son, Adam, when he became an Army officer. Adam Cubbage is now a captain in the 108th Air Squadron - his father's unit in the Vietnam War.
Great end to the article.

Bump for outrage.
The Book of Romans says we are to obey our Government authority--but it says first we are to obey God Himself.

E-mail recieved........... Keep up the GREAT work FREEPERS!!!
Thank you for your recent email.
I am in the office but cannot reply individually to the hundreds of
emails sent in response to my Jan. 22 article in The Philadelphia Inquirer
about Patrick Cubbage, who was dismissed as an honor guardsman for saying
"God bless you" during flag presentations. The overwhelming majority of
emails have voiced strong support for Mr. Cubbage.
Readers who wish to express their views directly to the New Jersey
Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs about this matter will find an
email form at the department's website:
http://www.state.nj.us/military/admin/main_contact.html
Thanks again for writing. The Inquirer will report on developments to this
story as they occur. I will attempt to respond to unrelated emails where
possible.

Dear Veterans Affairs Department,
could you please forward the following inquiry to Iven C. Dumas? Thank you in advance.
===============================
Dear Mr Dumas,
I am an occasional writer and commentator based in Sydney, Australia. Recently I read (on the Internet) an account of your dismissal of Patrick Cubbage. Abusing your commission to harass a gentle Christian in such a PC manner is of course a very newsworthy story which I am most interested in covering for the News Report, a daily online newsletter here. Could you please let me know your side of the story, and whether you could supply a photograph of yourself? My deadline is Monday PM your time.
Thank you
Yours faithfully
