Citizens Against Celebrity Pundits is receiving email from Americans who want to protest the Hollywood anti-war (anti-Bush) movement outside of the Academy Awards. They would like assistance with organizing this. If anyone can help, contact me. I can help promote it.

I think they should be protested. Give 'em a little dose of what they have been giving G.W. Bush. Make signs about them with their words on them.

If we have an organized effort (pinging RonDog here) I will be there with my video camera in any case short of dire emergency.

Who's going to join me?

As I posted on tonight's Drudge thread:

A big rally at the Oscars would be awesome.
The Hollywood Resistance Force (aka the LA Chapter of FR) will be there.
Our "practice FReep" will be at the L.A. Marathon, when we intend to join Ted Hayes and FIT-AIM-ACT in a pro-USA rally - which will be followed soon thereafter by a similar event at the Oscars...
For more details, see the thread:

FIT-AIM-ACT's "March Against TERRORISM" at the L.A. Marathon (March 2, 2003)

Activist Ted Hayes and Justiceville/Homeless USA are inviting Americans of every religion, ethnicity, race, and background to join the March Against Terrorismsm. Our primary goals are: 1) to give all Americans an opportunity to show their outrage against terrorism, 2) to advocate the liberation of people and Homeless people abroad, and 3) to actively support our military through FIT-AIM-ACT.

We encourage every American to join us in marching against terrorism, but if you cannot march with us for any reason, we offer ourselves to represent you.To be placed on our list as an anonymous supporter, supporter, or marcher, contact our Director of Programs. Let us know of your support, and if possible, make a donation online or by mail. Your fully tax-deductible contribution will enable JHUSA, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, to fulfill its Homeless defense mission.

Thank You For Your Support.

And, from that thread:

This is the first I've heard of the Oscars, one. What's the plan?
We are still only in the PLANNING stages for the Oscars event.
Bob J says that FReepers have protested the Oscars in the past, but that it was frustrating, since there were SO MANY other things going on then.
Ted Hayes wants to hold a "candlelight vigil" - with some of us being there ALL NIGHT the night before...
OTHER ideas are welcome, too.
We will know more after we see how the L.A. Marathon rally goes.

Minor correction to the L.A. Marathon rally information posted previously, rather than conflict with "official Marathon activities" at the Staples Center, we will be staging OUR primary event just around the corner:
Rally time: 10:00am to 11:30am.
Rally place: JHUSA/Dome Village, 847 Golden Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90017
A short walk from the march starting place.
