My hunch says no, for what that's worth. A PAC called "Friends of McCain" is having a big fundraiser this week to honor McCain's 20th year in public service, so McCain is definately making it look like he's running again. I doubt J.D. would take on McCain for that seat. I'd guess he'd wait until McCain retires.

McPain's fundraiser should be soundly FReeped. "Republicans Against McCain!" etc. Would make news and by the necessary thorn in McPain's side.
