I wonder if it was all the snow that you guys had down in Maryland. After all the snow in NY we are now having flood watches because we are getting a ton of rain which is melting the snow piles. I hope noone was hurt!

It takes time to get news crews in place & start broadcasting.
I do expect an update after the RI press conference is over, however.

MSNBC: Happened at 11:30 eastern time. Store had been open for about 4 hours. 40% of the roof collapsed on the NE corner. Workers and shoppers trapped inside.

All I remember is the name of one of the streets--Annapolis Road/Street. I can't remember the name of the cross street.

Intersection of Annapolis Rd. (Rt. 450) and Riverdale Rd. In the New Carrollton area. That store is very old. I bought my first bicycle there in the 1960s.

Here's one from the
Toys R Us website that's on Annapolis Road. It's in Lanham though; still in Prince George's County.

WTOP radio says that they have no idea at this point how many people might be trapped. Hopefully it's not too bad.
