[history]
The Democratic National Committee has called on North Carolina congressman Howard Coble to resign his subcommittee chairmanship after remarks suggesting Japanese-Americans were interned during World War II for their own protection.
The committee passed a resolution urging Coble, a Greensboro Republican, to step down from his post as chairman of the House Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security subcommittee, according to a statement released this week.

Aren't we getting a little to sensitive a little to late? Why didn't the DNC ask the clinton's to step down when they used the "n" word?

Oh
brother (rolling eyes)--the pathetic worm is hoping to make Coble into a Trent Lott episode--I doubt it'll work. First of all, it's not a slow news cycle--the media can do what they want, but it would seem really petty to carp upon this if I do say so myself, with war just on the horizon. Also too, the media let this Coble episode slip by this long, we all know they're no friends of conservatives, if they had wanted to make an issue of this, they would have jumped on it from the get-go, especially since it came not long after Lott. Then there's the fact that while Coble heads committees, he's not in the leadership position. If this had been Hastert or DeLay, they would be
out.
Nice try, Terry--if all you can resort to is pathetic race-baiting, we've got nothing to worry about.

It's time to stand up to these asinine "requests" for ONLY Republicans resign for every imagined slight. DimocRats can rape, lie, commit treason and we just roll over and say let's move on and not stir up hard feelings. Well, I, for one, am damned sick and tired of the terry's of the world getting away with this crap.
Come on GOP leadership, stand up and be counted.

Just say no to Democrats.
That should be easy enough.
Now, about that Hispanic judicial nomination......are democrats....racist? I think all Democrats against allowing a Hispanic to the bench should step down.
Anyone seen the movie where KKK Byrd plays a slave owning Confederate soldier? BTW, has he stepped down yet?
Well, at least it's nothing for Hillary to worry about, they're not talkng about her hate for "f---ing Jews", aye?
Oh, and those poor black children stuck in failing inner city schools. They have to make sure they don't get an education. Can't have them thinking on their own, ya know. Teacher votes before blacks. Democrat priorities!

"Criticism has also come from three Asian-American congressmen, Reps. Mike Honda, D-Calif., Robert Matsui, D-Calif., and David Wu, D-Ore."
Now I can understand why the Japanese-American members would be hot under the collar, but the Chinese-American ones ought to be ashamed of themselves. Have they forgotten the atrocities committed by the Japanese during WW2 against Chinese nationals ?

"Democratic Chairman Terry McAuliffe said in the statement...Congressman Coble is not fit to lead our country on security and constitutional matters and must resign from the chairmanship."
Uh, somebody please correct me, but isn't the head of the DNC supposed to be minding the matters of his party instead of national affairs. I mean, I thought that governmental critique and calls for action were supposed to be the province of Democrats elected to government office through the graft, bribes and election rigging of the DNC.
But hey, I suppose when Democratic 'journalists' make-up the news themselves and then exclusively cover Democratic personalities and Democratic movie stars who go on fact finding junkets and then try to make policy, some distinctions can get kinda' blurry.
Come to think of it, McAuliffe has that twitchy look like a rat in the light. I suppose he might make a good Democratic politician/moviestar/journalist after all. But he'll have competition, there are lots of 'em out there.
