"I would like to see the company make some sort of gesture," she[Remedy] said.Aside from one involving their middle digit, how about if they pick YOUR tree to harvest next?

Let me get this straight. If some squater is holed up on my private property in, say, a shed I want to tear down before I build a garage in its spot, I can't grab him by the scruff of his neck, while holding my pistol on him for self protection, and toss his butt in the street?
Would I convicted by a jury of my peers for breaking some law that protects criminals?

Hell, in today's climate, you'd probably end up sending his kids to college on your 65¢ per day prison pay.

In Eureka, California -- yes.
In my home town -- no.

They complain that the company is harvesting the area too aggressively, causing erosion that is degrading local waterways. As Mr. Okie has pointed out, the stumps and root systems are still there holding the soil. Also, it makes sense that the resulting sunlight would promote grass groweth which would help hold the soil. I didn't the company argue that point before the courts?

A Humboldt County judge has ordered tree sitters on logging company land to come down from their perches. Does this mean if they refuse to come down, the Sheriff gets to shoot them out?

At this moment 50 to 100 logging trucks are circling the Court House protesting the BS taking place in our county. Over the weekend these anarchist removed all the survey flagging on a PL logging site.

These people should be arrested for economic terrorist crimes against those who work for a living.
Cut those damn trees, we all need good red wood for fenches, decks, siding and yard furniture.

F'n brilliant! In order to save the forest from haphazard cutting they removed the only tool the loggers had in place to prevent haphazard cutting. They should start randomly cutting trees while pointing out that since the flags, put in place according to the rules they (the envirals) created, are missing they have nothing to go on!!!
With the court going against them this could come to blows. To bad they threw their #2 rights away long ago, the envirals that is.

"I would like to see the company make some sort of gesture," she said. Two guesses, Remedy honey, about what gesture you're likely to get. And the first one doen't count.
"Pull!!"
To: tubebender
In WV if somebody takes down a "No Trespassing" sign, and is caught, that is destruction of property......so the sheriff should go and arrest them all for 1. trespassing, and 2. destruction of property and 3. If they stay, then in contempt!
