Not as long as we retain a veto in the Security Council. I'm sure we will be much more liberal in our use of the veto to stop French initiatives.

I think the United States should pull out of the UN and start a kind of a global version of NATO consisting of countries that we can reason with and if they fail to maintain a certain level of competence they can be voted out. If the UN survives without the US as a member, thier headquarters should be removed from New York and turn the UN building into low cost housing. How's that!
