Tokyo Press Conference Quote:

"The U.S. is the only ally providing Tokyo with deterrent power against any foreign country that could threaten regional security, such as North Korea, and the Japanese people should never forget it."

A big bump for Japan to replace France on the Security Council. Assuming the UN survives.

When we defeated the Divine Emperor, we won their respect.
When we rebuilt their economy, we won their friendship.

Wouldn't it be someting to have that type of relationship with Iraq in 50 years?

Rather, they haven't forgotten our very humane occupation and reconstruction of their country.

we are a decent people, and more people that know better should express this sentiment.

Thank you, Japan!!

America's security umbrella should extend only to those who appreciate it, like Japan.

Remember who stood by us when we needed it most, Freepers.

Some of the most pro-American Japanese people, believe it or not, are the senor citizens/elderly I've talked to their 70s and 80s about this whole thing, who you would think would still carry a personal grudge for being trapped under rubble.

Well, of course they dislike war, but, nevertheless, the common quote I hear from them is: "How stupid of Iraq. They must submit. They are making a big mistake taking on America. We learned too; we thought we could defeat such a big country."

I have heard this same tone from these Japanese senior citizens; they know that the Iraqi govt. is screwing over it's people and the Americans come to liberate....such as their own Imperial military clique oppressed them and made them suffer.

I hear those voices--then I hear these brain dead American high school kids walking out with posters saying they stand with the 'Iraqi people against Bush.'

Yah, those that depend on us for safety. What happens when that need is gone?

Try and convince the peace pukes of this during this current situation.

"brain dead American high school kids"

Not that bad, more is made of the "early fruits" -- the loud, the disrespectful and the reckless. The kids are GOOD, better than the NEA rippers and the College Tenured Layabouts that teach them

Urine drips down the leg, moistening the trousers, of the Great Leader Comrade General Kim Jong il. Because he knows that he is next and that he has no real option but to abdicate and flee to Zurich where his money is stashed in several Swiss banks (and where his sons went to elite schools).

There will be no North Korea in 50 years. IMHO, there will be no North Korea by the first year of President Bush's second term.
