Andrew is always a great read, but he's particularly on target today about why the US is right on track to winning this war and why most of the left hates it.

Thanks for your post and thanks for your "battle against idiocy" (yesterday reply in Miller thread) in public schools.

Good read!

I already fired off an email this AM to Greta Van whatever of Fox News.

She was over the top last night. Her histrionic behavior was unbelievable seeing we've only been at war 4 days.

She was worried about the casualty numbers, about our not getting cheering crowds along the highways, about the trap being set in Baghdad, etc.

I suggested she read a little history of WWII to get some perspective.

Andrew Sullivan's comments were so much more realistic.

I was waiting for someone to enter her booth, slap her across the face a couple of times and tell her to snap out of her state of hysteria. She was pathetic.

And what's with that one military analyst. He always sounds like he might be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He's worried about this, worried about that...so much different that any of the retired military people I've seen on Fox and any of the other stations for that matter.

Excellent analysis of Greta last night. I saw it the exact same way. It was very insightful into...who is this television person?

You can lift a face but it's much harder to lift the fog from your mind.

Great link! I spent way too much time there this morning reading his comments from previous days, as well. Thanks for the site--it's now in my bookmarks.

I keep trying to imagine how these types of TV anchorpersons would handle D-Day or the Battle of the Bulge.

Can't you just see them reporting, "We had 19,000 KIA's in the past six weeks." or "We lost 2500 soldiers today, but we were expecting 10,000 deaths."

My teenager, who is quite well read on WWII history absolutely goes berserk when they keep referring to things being "rough" during this war. Not to trivialize war, or our casualties, but what did they expect????

But I would also say this about the multilateral left. If you're so keen on allies, it would behoove you not to ignore and insult the ones we have, while pining for those we could never get.

Good point.

This article, and others at the site, are worth both reading and bookmarking (which I have done).
