Fox News reported that that the commander-in-chief and administration has been trying to get a response from Russia on this for A YEAR to no avail. It is made public, and they suddenly deny it!
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
The State Department started complaining to the Russian Government a year ago about the sale of these items so it should not have been a shock to the Putin Government that this came out. In fact, Powell should have brought it out at the UN instead of the US policy of kid glove treatment to the Russians at the UN.

Add the Russian embassy in Baghdad to the target list.

I have had a notion for months and now I really believe that the old commie regime and not Putin are calling the shots in Russia.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
What??,,, you expected the stinking Russians to ADMIT they have been stabbing the US in the back and selling illicit arms and equipment to Saddam??
They are just following the old Soviet-KGB strategy: undermine the US at every opportunity and then deny everything.

I suppose those Russian made anti-shipping missiles found near Basra are just a figment of our imagination.

"The U.S. government suspects that the Russians were hiding some of the jamming equipment in humanitarian aid flights to Baghdad, Fox News has learned. The boxes are about 3 ft. x 3 ft."
Note that these were UN FLIGHTS!!! Conducted under the watchful eye of the UN??? Most of these transfers occurred in late 2002 and early 2003.....after it was apparent that Iraq would not comply and US action was inevitable.....
France, Germany and Russia all conspiring to block us at the Security council level....
Food for thought....

Morning, Expect to see some big time squealing from the worldwide socialist in trying to stop this action. Demanding the UN stop this now.
They know darn well what has been sent over there in their attempt to take control of the oil in Iraq.
Next thing I want exposed is what the previous administration did in promoting, and aiding the arming of Iraq.
Another interesting thing will be when we find out how many Russians are in fact in Iraq today giving aide and comfort to Saddam in killing our own.
Seems again we are in battle with the hidden Russian force like N. Korea and Vietnam.

If Putin weren't ex-KGB (if there is such a thing), I might be inclined to agree with you.

Anyone recall this quote?
"According to www.irak.ru, American troops were stopped by fire from a Malyutka-2 (Baby-2) anti-tank missile system of Soviet construction (NATO classification SAGGER)."
Weren't these also banned by the U.N.? It certainly testifies of Soviet arms sales to Iraq.

Anybody else think we need regime change in the State Department?
I have a serious problem with this whole crowd.

What??,,, you expected the stinking Russians to ADMIT they have been stabbing the US in the back and selling illicit arms and equipment to Saddam??I expect them to deny it all the way to the bank where they cash their Iraqi checks. I also expect, now that it's been made public and could be/is affecting our troops, that our leaders get a little more backbone when it comes to dealing with them and confront them in the UN and on the airwaves. I want to see Powell confronting them everywhere about it. Anything that could affect our troops in a negative manner needs to be confronted head-on.

Clinton/Gore used the UN Food for Oil campaign in a big way.
Since that money disappeared and the Iraqis are starving, what did the Clinton/Gore administration do with the oil? Or was it an illegal cash exchange? Would that be at the DNC?

I take back what I said
WH comments on Russian aid
"The United States has credible evidence that Russian companies have provided assistance and prohibited hardware to the Iraqi regime, things such as night vision goggles, GPS jammers and anti-tank guided missiles," White House spokesman Ari Fleischer told reporters.
"These actions are disturbing and we have made our concerns clear to the Russian government. We've asked the Russian government that any such ongoing assistance cease immediately," Fleischer added.

Add the Russian embassy in Baghdad to the target list. Perhaps by a "stray" JDAM that has been.
