I meant to ping you in #58 too, in case you're interested.

I neglected to ping Shermy.

Thanks, Fred. I had the same thought at the same time, as you can see :-).

"We intend to use Blue as a test bed for new techniques and concepts for web journalism," Lowrey said."

Well, after seeing the chain of CHB to truthout.org to Japan Today to every liberal paper in Europe, I suppose that we've all figured out what the "new techniques" to be tested and tried out are...

I don't believe anyone can know as he didn't tell and was having them deleted.Only a real long time fan or disciple who saved them could probably do the time consuming job of figuring it out. What's with the lawyer bit, though? It's hard to sue for libel here.

Thanks for remembering me!

Wilkinson...the guy who believed the fellow spinning all his tales of derring-do?

Shermy rule - any one, especially in a bar, who brags they were in "Navy Seals" "Rangers" etc. - wasn't.

Thomson won't be telling it like it is until his biography includes the term "draft dodger".

Doug does seem to have an affinity for the sodomy lobby and their causes.

An why is a newbie like you bumping this old thread?

I'm talking about Doug's affinity for the causes embraced by the sodomy lobby--the homosexual groups. And I'm a newbie only in the sense that each new assignment brings a new moniker.

IOW, you're a retread with some kind of personal axe to grind against Doug.

No, I only "know" Doug from his biography and what I've read about/from him. I have however, met many "Doug's" since I became involved in politics with the 76 Reagan campaign...usually those "Doug's" were working for Ford to sink Reagan. In 1980, the were working for Baker/Bush/Anderson to sink Reagan. I've always thought of Doug as a third rate David Gergen.

As for being a "retread", when I get a new .mil email address I get a new screen name. If that confers the "retread" title on me than so be it.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion...
It's just that it's rather odd that you'd take the time to delve into the FR archives to express it on an older thread. Most forum participants are more interested in more recent articles and current events.

You can Edit your account when you get a new email address.
That way, you can retain your previous screen name, posting history and credibility.
It will also help distinguish you from those retreads who were forced to get a new email address and screen name because they were banned.
