FOX NEWS "OUTS" Protesters!
FOX NEWS | 27 March 03 | Self

Posted on 03/27/2003 5:52:33 AM PST by TPartyType

Just a few moments ago, the morning crew at Fox News was interviewing a wounded soldier from the Army Hospital in Germany and they showed him some footage of the couple dozen "die-in" protesters on Fifth Avenue in New York to get his reaction.

When they set it up, the reporterette said, "You've got to keep in mind, Sargeant, that this group is organized by 'Anarchists and Communists,' 'The International Socialist Organization,' and 'Psycho Therapists against War.'" All three reporters took a shot at the inane, professionally-organized protest and the sargeant just shrugged and said somehing to the effect of "well we're fighting for their right to voice their opinion; just don't take it out on the soldiers is all I have to say." Very classy.

Then good ol' Fred Thompson came on a few minutes later and they "outed the protesters" again! They showed his commercial and talked a bit about how there seemed to be as many photographers as protesters and that it was the same old crowd we've been identifying here at FR since February 15. Fred did a great job articulating why and how the American people should frame these "world-wide" protests. I really appreciated what they said because I've been trying to get the word out at my university. I hope the mainstream media starts to "frame the protests" the way Fox News did . . . (but I'm not holding my breath!)

I'm sure they think of themselves as "Psychotherapists Against the War", but "Psycho Therapists Against the War" is the more accurate description.

Thank God for Fox News!!!

'Psycho Therapists against War.'

Hahahahaha! That's the funniest thing I've heard so far today, but it's still early.

God Bless FOX News. The other reporting is just disgusting. These other news networks are the enemies of America. It's as if they actually want America to lose this war.

E.D. is the one who keeps reminding us that its the socialists, anarchists, and communists protesting this. I love this show! After Fred Thompson was on, Jim Inhofe came on and they slammed the protestors again. Brian Kilmeade said...

"These nitwits have given up a Thursday for a job that the probably don't have, and all they have done is cost the police time and money"

Unrehearsed and "spontaneous" outpouring of thousands of people. Yes, they just all happened to hit the streets at one time.

Fox News isn't considered "mainstream media"?
Its owned by the same company that has put out such "quality programming" as "Married with children", "Celebrity Boxing", and "Who wants to marry a millionaire".

Give me a break.

Lets also not forget, the right to protest is exactly what those solders are fighting for. Just because we might not agree with there opinion, doesn't mean they should not be able to express it.

Good, I wouldn't advise you hold your breath! For some reason I paused on "Today" and Katie! and the others were treating this lame "die-in" as one of the most important events in the last year. Also did a bio on the leader of the protest group, some old hag who's been doing this sort of thing for 40 years apparently. Wonder if she knows what an honest paycheck looks like...

Oh, and Katie! can burn for all eternity.

(but I'm not holding my breath!)

That would be very unhealthy! Waiting for the mainstream media to be fair will be a veeery long wait indeed. They can't even seem to be able to see what's right in front of them in Iraq. Yesterday they seemed to take up the Iraqi call that somehow we were intentional bombing the civilians in Baghdad now. After all that what the Iraqi flunkie just said in their "news" conference. Somehow we are to think that because of 14 civilian deaths in Baghdad we better change our strategery. They are the enemy almost as much as the Iraqi propaganda they repeat regularly. Somehow they avoid being "judgemental" when it comes to the myriad of abuses by Iraqi war criminals, that they just seem to accept. The continual effort to draw "moral equivalency" between the sides in this war makes me want to puke!

E.D. just stated that apparently the protestors were "pro litter", as the overhead video showed all their paper and junk strewn all over the street.

They are not protesting anymore. They are taking up the valuable time of our police. When they start laying in the streets, and blocking traffic, its considered disturbing the peace. Ironic isn't it?????

Cool. I love you, Fox.

Ditto! I mutter that all day long. Especially if for some rare reason I happen to be on another channel and get thoroughly ticked off with the anti-American sentiment and slanted BS. FOX RULES!

Phil Valentine, a talk radio host here in Nashville, outed the Nashville Center for Peace and Justice (organizer of the anti-war demonstrations here) last Friday as simply a front for the Communist Party of Middle Tennessee (who lists their contact phone number and address as the NCPJ), the Democratic Socialists Party, and several other socialist/communist/liberal/envirowacko groups.

When Phil called the place, they had the gall to deny it even though it is on their website.
