I can imagine the helpful "questions" which will be asked by Katie or Matt so Arnett can redeem himself.

• "Don't you think it's important to keep the lines of communication open with Iraq?
• Shouldn't journalists be free to state their opinions? Isn't that what the first amendment is all about?
• Aren't our soldiers fighting in another country for people to have the freedom to speak their minds?
• Isn't it true that no chemical weapons have been uncovered in Iraq?
• Haven't you had a working relationship with the Iraqis, based on mutual respect/trust?
• Isn't it important for the world to get some indication of the thinking of the Iraqi higher-ups?
• Aren't you in a good position, based on extensive experience, to say that most Iraqis are peace-loving individuals?
• Don't you think the US activities in Iraq will lead to more resentment among the peace-loving Muslims of the whole world?
