Obviously questions come to mind whether they were using the (otherwise "ok") pesticides for killing bugs, for terrorist training (as simulated agents?) or whether they were seeking to train using them unconventionally because there were also lots of training materials on chemical warfare at the facility.
Terrorists like to keep their lawns really nice.
Nothing to see here folks. all this stuff is just left over from Iraq's rarely publicized war with the mosquito people.
According to the Anti-war Radical Left, there are no terrorist training camps in Iraq. They must be desert mirages.

PESTICIDES SCANDAL EXPOSES EUROCRATS' FOUL PLAY

Alarmingly, their research also reveals that when the pesticide 'fipronil' came into contact with lizards, birds and most importantly termites, their population numbers declined

Furthermore, PAN-UK suspects that not only were French officials in the European Commission blatantly ignorant of the identity of the pesticide, but also that a European Commission secretary had given the green light to a recent contract with CARE France.

Assisted by some British MEPs, Dr Colin Tingle, a respected Environmental Impact Ecologist and Member of the NR Group suspects EU funds have been diverted onto Bayer Crop Science which produces fipronil, which the BBC reported in 1999.

PAN -UK which have reported the impact of such chemicals in the past in Madagascar, would like to expose the real reasons why EU officials, working under Danish Commissioner Poul Nielson, cannot reveal the details of a payment made to a European firm to supply pesticide. Inquiries in Brussels have revealed that the EC tender to support CARE France - through the French government - was signed and agreed at the end of July. CARE deny the involvement of the French Government.
"The Commission is hiding behind a lame excuse of not being able to reveal the details of the firm or the product that CARE France plan to use" claims the MEP. "They have made a payment of 1million euro to CARE France, without even knowing which pesticide is going to be used, but everything points towards Aventis Crop Science under their new name Bayer Crop Science and fipronil".

Rhone-Poulenc later became Aventis, then Bayer.
"But still there is no answer to the fundamental question, has anybody yet heard what pesticides were bought by the EU and sent to Madagascar? M. Ghilain has avoided spelling that out in his email" adds Tingle.
