A poll carried out by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO) and Prepared by President Dr. Nabil Kukali.

(55.3%) Support to varying degrees the President Arafat
(40.5%) Support, to varying degrees Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen" as a Palestinian Prime Minister.

A poll recently conducted by the PCPO and prepared by Dr.Nabil Kukali included a random sample of 750 adults, 18 years and older, from the West Bank including East Jerusalem.

President of the PCPO, Dr. Nabil Kukali, stated that the poll took place on April 16-21,2003 and the average age of the respondents was 31.2 years, and the margin of error was 3.58+/- percent points.

Kukali also stated that the percentage of female respondents was 48.3%, while that of the male ones was 51.7%. He also explained that the respondent 's location of residence was as follows: 51.3% city, 38.2% village, and 10.5% refugee camp. He pointed out to the average size of respondents' families that was 6.8 persons, and the average number of schooling years was 11.2 years.

Dr. Kukali said the results of the poll were as follows:

Rather mild percentages, except for questions 3 & 4 --- they don't trust American president Bush and they would hide their weapons!

And th "I don't knows" and the I don't cares" have it. How do you take a poll in a place like this. They may feel differently tomorrow.

They didn't have a category for "I'm scared to express my true feelings in case you report my replies to Fatah Tanzim Hezbollah Hamas etc". And this is why the poll is so wishy-washy.
