WASHINGTON -Democratic presidential candidate Joe Lieberman is asking for a federal investigation into whether alleged double agent Katrina Leung illegally funneled Chinese money into U.S. political campaigns.
Leung, a Southern California businesswoman who was paid $1.7 million as an FBI informant, also was a Republican activist and donor to candidates and the Republican Party. And she was arrested on April 9 as a suspected spy for China.

A Democratic Senator wanting an investigation into a "Republican activist"...
Maybe trying to turn the tables?
Before anyone goes on a rant, I will be willing to bet that several Republican Senators are on the China payroll, and that this lady helped. At the same time there are several Democrats in the Senate that are absolutely no better.

Lieberman's letter cited a 1997 Los Angeles Times story in which Leung dismissed allegations that an Indonesian businessman she knew might be a political operative for Beijing.
"The prospect of a foreign government illegally influencing our political campaigns is a very troubling one, and any evidence that that might have occurred must be vigilantly investigated and pursued," Lieberman wrote.

Before anyone goes on a rant, I will be willing to bet that several Republican Senators are on the China payroll, and that this lady helped. At the same time there are several Democrats in the Senate that are absolutely no better. Before you go warning don't "anyone go on a rant", you better revisit 8 years of Clinton behavior and cover-up by the likes of John "Would You Please Trade Me a Ride on the Shuttle for Covering Up All You Sins" Glenn and other related Dems who looked the other way when unspeakable campaign finance violations took place during the 1993-2000 years known as the Clinton Administration took place. The supposed $27,000 "scam" of illegal campaign donations by this Chinese agent to Republicans looks really, really, REALLY! small and puny by comparison. Thank you very much, but I feel entirely entitled to my RANT!... With or without Republican violations yet to be revealed!
It will take DECADES and GENERATIONS to purge the US body politic of the stench of the Clinton years and crimes. Until Janet Reno serves 5 consecutive life terms, that "Justice Department" will not have received the punishment it deserves... And until Clinton is IMPEACHED and CONVICTED ex-post-facto and retro-actively, justice will not have been properly served. JMHO.

You don't hear me complaining about your post/rant.
My point was its not only some Democrats who are guilty, albeit they are probably guilty of the grossest of violations.
There was/is no small portion of Republicans taking money to promote China.
