"I think Duvall, Sam Elliot and Dennis Franz are real men."Got to admit -- Hard to imagine Dennis Franz in a pink teddy...

Moore is tainting the film profession. Both the Hollywood left and right should be outraged.

Elliot is unfortunately a major Lib....but he's maintained a steady marriage which counts for something. Gratefully I hear very little about his politics.

Robert Duvall: A really nice guy and a magnificant horseman. Out here in Leesburg he's a local institution.

"That little twit Jennifer Love Hewitt"? She was on Jay Leno's Tonight Show a year and a half ago or so, and expressed a personal preference in liking George W. over Clinton when a discussion contrasting the two arose. This was still an understated apolitical avowal, but her instincts were irreproachable. Then when asked her opinion of the impending war in Iraq by a British paper some months back she responded with an answer that included "trusting the US government to do what is right" (loosely paraphrased). So, anyone that disparages my saintly, innocent actress in a despicable way can take a flying leap to the nether regions.

"Elliot is unfortunately a major Lib....but he's maintained a steady marriage which counts for something."Doc, unless libs like Sam Elliot totally come to their senses like the Ron Silvers of the world, they're still pulling for a Hitlery-World.
As for giving credit to Elliot for "maintaining a steady marriage," so have the Witch and Bubba.

Love-Hewitt is from the Waco area. The county where President Bush has his ranch.

I know she's from Texas, but only have vague notions of the geography out there. There seems to be a connection between
geographical provenance and psychological dynamics of one's
mindset. We're dying out here in Los Angeles.
Anyway, I think Miss Hewitt deserves off of Hollywood disrepute lists. She's not making public utterances on world
politics and US policy, let alone giving expression to any
fashionable hateful leftist nihilism. I'd recommend her
for the good people in Hollywood lists, however, it is probably better for her to go unnoticed and not identified with any partisan affiliation.

Sam and Catherine have a real marriage and you'll have to excuse me but I do respect that....especially in La La Land.
I was distressed to hear he was a Dem, he seems so down to earth.

"Sam and Catherine have a real marriage and you'll have to excuse me but I do respect that....especially in La La Land."Quite frankly, just because a couple has stayed together in La La Land is no reason to assume that they have a "real marriage" by any convention standard...
Unless you know them personally.

How about his performance as the upwardly-mobile network executive in "Network": one of the best moments is when he cries out, "We've got a big-t*tted hit here!!"

Whatever....no need to get yer flightsuit in a wad because I professed admiration for a LaLaLand couple that apparently stays together happily from what I've read......even if they are Dems.
I have not read anyhwere salacious stuff about them like Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed's "marriage".
There are so few "good" ones out there that when you hear about one they tend to stick in one's memory.
