VENTURA COUNTY CHAPTER - FORUM IS UP!!

I will start posting news and events specific to Ventura County on the Ventura County Chapter Forum over at www.freeper.org. I just posted one resident's view of the apparent political leanings of our Board of Supervisors and am looking foward to getting more input.
The Chapter forum is not quite as sophisticated in posting as it is here over at www.freepublic.com but I think it is a more suitable location to discuss our local politics, liberal excesses of our Ventura Star, etc.

That would be fantastic. I'm thinking we might have occassional physical meetings - on the 15th of the month. Let me know when you go to a gun club meeting and I'll go with you. It would be like seeing some truly endangered species in Ojai.

Hi, Just returned from a (cold!!) week in Yosemite and am in the midst of lots of chores/tasks I can't get out of. But I hope to become more active in the chapter as soon as I can get a few domestic/work things up and running properly. I think we can form an effective group and fill what is essentially an information vacuum in VC.
We can do a lot of good just by exchanging information and insights. For instance, I'd love to see reliable information developed about the records of candidates for local and county offices (especially judges!) that could be publicized before elections.

I think we are singing off the same sheet of music. When you get a chance freepmail me the screen name and password you would like to use for the Chapter Forum. One of our freeper friends put together a nice, short and sweet analysis of the political leanings of the BOS which I posted and another freeper friend had some comments to add. I would love to see what you had to say.
I'm hoping the Forum can be a place to disseminate all the info that the Star won't touch yet the county residents deserve to have.
