I for one hope we have learned our lesson. If attacked, you fight back until your attacker is lying lifeless before you. President Bush made it plain last week that a clerical government wasn't going to be acceptable in Iraq. It isn't acceptable to me either. We'd be better off occupying the place indefinitely. I suspect the amount of funding involved to support ANSWER and all of the other interlinked organizations is substantial. Somewhere, I saw an estimate of $200K for ANSWER to organize and conduct a protest. Multiplied by the number of protests that we have seen in the past 6 months, that's not chicken feed. Now that Saddam is gone, some of this money has probably dried up.
