Alexander is far from Conservative. Not even a neocon. I respect the writers work but he included the wrong person

Once a man views a birth, he should quickly conclude that a male mighty warrior is not up to the task of childbirth. He is simply not that strong.

It always cracks me up when I see a phrase like this. If the male were designed for childbirth, he would get through labor just as females do.

There is a saying that was in style in the south that held that “any human that can birth a child has to have the strength of a mighty warrior”.

I dispute this.

There is no such "saying" - the style of the language is wrong, it's not pithy, it's also PC.

The saying comes from an old southern classic magazine.

Wow. Classic. Point out a female trying to impersonate a conservative, and people debate a southern saying.

Go to Jerseygop.com and look at Alexander in the babes of the week archive and tell me she is nothing more than a Coulter or Malakin. I wonder who spell checks for her?

Southern Review which was published in the 1830's and then from 1867-1879

As the author taking heat for this piece, and being a southerner, I would be happy to dispatch a photocopy of the journal that was found in archives in Charleston, SC. The spelling was updated.

Thx.

Absurd. Ms. Alexander is a conservative, perhaps not of your liking, but one nonetheless.

This whole thing has the ring of a hastily-assembled setup for a payload paragraph, the one at the end hyping Ms. Rachel Alexander. What, is she his daughter or something?

During labor, yes they do. But in general, uh uh. It's not even close. Based on the dramas that unfold when my wife stubs her toe or pinches her finger, I was convinced she'd never survive labor. :-) But she did very well (natural birth). She actually says labor was better than almost nine full months of "morning" sickness.

The fact that Rachel Alexander is female seems to have you more in a tither than anything else. I know her and find her to be quite the conservative. Perhaps you might evaluate your definition of conservative.

Really - well thank you for correcting me. I just have a better tolerance for pain than my boyfriend but I guess it depends on the person.

What makes you say she is far from conservative?

http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3b46361a6235.htm

"John McCain, while no liberal, is no friend to conservatives. Considering conservatives have already lost the Senate, conservatives should not be afraid that McCain will bolt the Republican Party, conservatives should HOPE that he will bolt the Republican Party."

http://wildcat.arizona.edu/papers/91/85/04_3_m.html

"The point is that that there is more to this than just Bill Clinton's sexual infidelities. There is lots of evidence that Clinton lied and perjured himself in court."

http://wildcat.arizona.edu/papers/91/133/04_3_m.html

"Unfortunately, these abuses will continue as long as Congress is afraid to stop the IRS's unprecedented abuse of power. Members of both parties continue to tinker with the tax code each year, allowing tax breaks for some but not for others, depending on which special interest group screams the loudest or donates the most money that year.

Someone who made just under $20,000 last year, barely over the poverty line, paid around $4,759 in federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare taxes. Ever wonder why these taxes are taken out of each paycheck? Because if we were forced to pay this amount all at once, there would be a tax revolt."

http://wildcat.arizona.edu/papers/91/108/04_2_m.html

"Regardless of how badly Dornan's enemies want him out of office, the use of election fraud and the manipulation of Hispanic immigrants is certainly not the proper way to go about it. Unfortunately, anyone who dares question the election results is labeled as a racist. Dornan plans to run again this fall. Let's hope the Sanchez campaign shows a little honesty this time around."

http://wildcat.arizona.edu/papers/92/148/04_3_m.html

"Although the Left has successfully convinced itself that its own philosophy is the most compassionate one, it has not fooled everyone. This is because the Left's idea of compassion is not compassion at all - it is an arrogant, elitist way of treating fellow human beings. "

http://intellectualconservative.com/article1030.html

" close look at child custody, examining how the courts and society's attitudes towards fathers almost guarantee that fathers will never be much more than a pocketbook to their ex-wives and girlfriends. "

I have to say, she seems pretty conservative to me. Not to mention she is a pretty conservative.

Nice try at taking a bit and making it sound like a byte. Most of the columns on the site are written by men, and those provided decent commentary.
