If you work or live in or near the District of Columbia, please make every effort to attend this rally and press conference. If you cannot make it or live too far away, please contact your Senators to voice your opinion on the unconstitutional filibustering of judicial nominees by the minority party. Thank you and FReep On!

I heard Sean Hannity announce this rally today on his radio show and that Mark Levin (aka The Great One) will be the emcee... I also heard Kevin Martin on Hannity's show today, come to think of it! :-)
If I lived in the DC area, I would certainly join you, but alas, we are several hundred miles away...
Good luck tomorrow and THANK YOU all for being there!

I wish I could be there, but work won't wait another day for me... so I'm doing the next best thing I could think of - pinging a whole lotta FReepers!
To: Angelwood
Missing from the guest list: Senator Talent who actually has a workable plan to force the votes on a majority basis. I'm sure Frist is aware of this but obviously is ignoring it. Sigh.

Fred, your always getting all the good hugs.

It should get coverage because Senator Frist will be there. How much play depends on what he says.
The Rats are comfortable doing this because they aren't getting alot of heat from the public. Hopefully this rally will turn up the heat on them.

Hey Angelwood. Could you change the title of this thread to give the correct date? March is a two-month memory. : )

Duh!!! I asked the moderators to change the date. Thanks for catching this -- I ran out of room in the headline with the date written out and didn't see my error.
THE RALLY IS TODAY, 5/9/03, AT NOON.

As I understand it, the Obstruction Day rally will be held in the Senate Swamp -- a grassy area alongside Constitution Avenue on the Senate end of the Capitol and opposite the Russell Building which is on the other side of Constitution Avenue. There is a sheltered bus stop nearby and also a driveway into the Capitol parking area.
If it is raining or too wet outside, the rally will be held inside the Capitol in the LBJ Room. I'm sure people will be on hand to direct attendees to the rally wherever it takes place.

UPDATE: I just was told that the rally will be in Senator's Park on the opposite side of Constitution Avenue. Look for all the TV Satellite Trucks and W04Man with his signs. He is already there and said the place is full of media. I'm on my way now.
