SAN DIEGO -- DallasNews.com was honored Friday with a 2003 EPpy Award for Best Internet News Service with more than 1 million unique visitors.
The EPpy Awards were presented at the Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show sponsored by Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek magazines.
DallasNews.com, Web site for The Dallas Morning News, edged finalists Boston.com and Newsday.com.
WFAA.com, Web site for WFAA-TV (Channel 8), was a finalist for the Best Overall Local TV/Cable-Affiliated Internet Service award.
Both DallasNews.com and WFAA.com are owned by Belo Interactive Inc., the Internet subsidiary of Dallas-based Belo Corp.
In addition to Belo Interactive, The News and WFAA-TV, Belo Corp's holdings include three daily newspapers; 18 television stations; and Texas Cable News (Channel 38) and other cable news channels.

WFAA? Channel 8? I think that might be on track. That is the ABC affiliate and they are related to the DMN.
