Kim, I have had enough of this. Forget anything I might have ever said about loving storms.
I'm in Greenwood and assorted members of my family live in Pleasant Hill and Harrisonville. Everyone is ok there as far as I know right now. Storm went around G'wood.

Midwest A very strong upper-level storm, which is spinning in the Great Basin, will eject into the central Plains on Saturday. This upper- level system will strengthen on Saturday and help ignite severe thunderstorms from Lake Michigan to the Ark-La-Tex region. A strong surface low will develop with the upper-level storm starting in western Kansas during the morning and then quickly strengthen and move to southeastern Wisconsin by Sunday evening. The warm, humid air mass out ahead of the cold front is where the worst of the severe weather will be focused.
Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, southern Michigan and portions of Ohio are the most likely locations for strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday. Hail, high winds, flash flooding, and tornadoes are possible. This is another dangerous weather situation that needs to be monitored by everyone who will be in the region. This storm system will strengthen over the weekend allowing winds to become strong across the Great Lakes on Sunday. Temperatures will be much cooler from Sunday to Tuesday.
