WASHINGTON - The Bush Administration's push for wholesale change in U.S. nuclear weapons policy was put into motion Thursday, after the House Armed Services Committee passed a sweeping set of policies that move toward development and testing of nuclear weapons.

This is positive news. I imagine the Sunday shows will go ballistic over the prospects of unilateralism and the revival of nuclear development. Good, I'll be more confident that government is doing what it ought to be doing.

To me, the only substantive downside is if we get another Slave Party president who would then sell the technology to our enemies (you know how they love to make things "fair").
