i read gordon thomas'

Journey into Madness: The True Story of Secret CIA Mind Control and Medical Abuse
by Gordon Thomas

when it came out in the late 1980's. it was a good read, and it presented information then that was not generally available.

there are a lot of people who didn't believe some of the bizarre stuff that thomas reported, but the cia later paid compensation to the families of people that it had harmed.

i remember at least one adult child of a victim writing a book.

the book received good marks from psychotherapists. but, psychologists associated with the cia were very visible publically and denounced the psychotherapists.
