What does his being a prolific writer have to do with anything? Isaac Asimov wrote 500+ books, but he didn't know every move the Mossad made. What makes you think this writer does?

Fine. He writes movies scripts, he's written some fiction (not especially GOOD fiction, but at least it was published), and his written some allegedly non-fiction books.

However, his "non-fiction" stuff is full of lurid espionage tales that cannot be checked back very easily (it's always based on "anonymous sources").

Gordon Thomas is about as credible as Jayson Blair--because he uses the same techniques.
