The New York Times and the Left's War on Truth

The New York Times affirmative action diversity scandal demonstrates much more than the folly of the Left’s reverse racism and the top management’s arrogance. It is an example of the Left’s instrumental treatment of truth, which is the inescapable consequence of their worship at the altar of absolute equality of condition.

Absolute equality is of course the utopian vision of the Left, which scorns the equality before the law that is the glory of America’s Constitution and of free government.

Because the Left’s vision – or, to put it more accurately, obsession and fetish – is contradicted by the reality of human nature, the Left, when it has been in a position to attempt to realize its obsession, has always had to make war on objective truth.

For Communists, it became a war on the very society they claimed to be perfecting: from Lenin to Stalin to Mao, from Castro to Pol Pot to Kim Il Sung and his demented son.

For the leftists in charge of our many if not most of our universities, foundations, schools, libraries and the establishment news media, and for those sitting on our courts, it has become a war to destroy the objective truths of our moral and constitutional tradition (including judicial restraint), as well as our historical identity, on the ground these have been tools of oppression against racial minorities, women, homosexuals, the disabled and others.

The Blair incident was not an aberration but something that could have been predicted by The Time's longstanding leftist agenda. More of these types of things will happen until leftist rags like The Times rescind their policies of social engineering and try to get the best people regardless of skin color or political leanings. Of course that will not happen under the current Times radical-liberal rulers.

Agreed. What the hard-Left at the Times attempts is to incite racial strife. What the Lefty nutbrain wannabes are into is simply feeling superior and righteous. They're nutbrains because they don't have a clue to the meanings of righteousness or superiority.

That's what I don't get....the Left has murdered more human beings than all the Mongol Hordes of bygone centuries. Do the useful idiots on the Left really think they would survive a Stalin or a Hitler or a Mao or a Kim? Foolish, foolish idiots.

Dr John Lott, the college professor who wrote the book, "More guns, Less Crime!" has a new book out. In that book he challenges the media re its lies and scewed coverage of guns.

In an examination of New York Times stories from 2001, Lott found 104 articles related to the use of guns by criminals, totaling 50,745 words. He excluded court case coverage, crimes committed with bb or pellet guns, guns recovered at crime scenes but not used in the crime under investigation, wrongful shootings by police and the illegal transportation or sale of guns.

"By contrast, the national "newspaper of record" wrote 163 words about the defensive use of a gun by a citizen in only one story. The results were similar for USA Today, which reported 5,660 words on criminal use of guns but no reporting on the use of guns to stop crimes, and the Washington Post, which devoted 46,884 words to the criminal use of firearms and 953 words to their defensive use by law-abiding citizens.

The NY Slimes besides printing lies and propaganda posing as news, is the oldest newspaper in America re spiking real news like someone using a gun to defend themselves. The Compost is next then other major left wing news paper.

The one you have in Portland is a major spiker of real news. Sometimes it will surprise everyone and do some real reporting.

Notice how the left wing mediots have not printed any stories about the mass graves discovered in Iraq? If they don't print the stories, most Americans don't know about them.
