Numerology is the pseudoscience that seeks occult meanings in numbers, but one needn't be an adherent to find significance in the recurring appearance of $8 billion in the state's budget crisis.

That was how much, more or less, Gov. Gray Davis and the Legislature foolishly spent out of a one-time windfall of income taxes three years ago. And that's roughly how much out of balance the state budget has been every year since.

I actually love a good budget crisis. It makes these spending politicians run all over like 3 year olds. But, I don't like it when they raise taxes.

GO BANKRUPT, GOVERNMENT, BURN BABY BURN!!!! MWAHAHAHA

In order to live well we'll run up a credit card or two and then pay it off with our tax return check. Does that sound like the RATS economic policy? They act like teenagers or newly weds instead of experienced leaders.

I just put my house up for sale and am moving to Texas!

A very wise decision.
I will be interested to see how many normal, working, traditional Americans hang around in California, hoping against hope for a miracle only to end up like the white farmers who failed to flee Zimbabwe in time - - penniless or dead.

I feel like a rat leaving the sinking ship, but don't want to end up penniless like those farmers in Zimbabwe!

Normal, working, traditional Americans no longer have any value in California.
