The Buzz from Scarborough Country
MSNBC ^ | 5-27-03 | COMMENTARY by Joe Scarborough

What people are talking about today in Scarborough Country?

Susan Sarandon. You can say this about Susan Sarandon. She doesn’t back down from a fight. After having her “Bull Durham” retrospective canceled by Major League Baseball and her latest project tanking on TV, Ms. Sarandon is taking her anti-war show on the road, bashing the president and America to foreign newspapers. Sarandon also talked to a British entertainment magazine this week and blasted America as arrogant — while claiming that because of George Bush - the United States is more divided than at any time since the Civil War.

Scarborough responds: Since when was a 75 percent approval rating divisive?

Since when was a 75 percent approval rating divisive?

The day after the '02 election I wore my "United We Stand" shirt to work and this ultra Leftist NPR-head said to me something similar; "if only that were still true, nowadays we are more divided than ever." So I responded "if we are so divided why did the Republicans win almost every election in play?"

He didn't say a d*mn thing.

To understand liberalspeak one has to remember what it was like to be five years old.

Kids sometimes say to their parents, "You hate me!" when they don't get what they want. Liberals--nothing more than slightly more articulate children--speak of "division" and "divided" when they, the parasite class, know they are not going to get what they want from the producing class.

Technically, they are correct. Liberals are "divided" from the source of their sustenance (hopefully).

Great job, Peoples. Keep up the good work and don't be afraid to challenge the Reds.

The good news for those participating in the vast right-wing conspiracy is that your fearless leader, George Bush, is ranked as the third greatest president of all time. But the news that will make you weep over your latest Reagan biography is the news that Mr. Bush shares third place with none other than William Jefferson Clinton. And speaking of sex scandals, John F. Kennedy is ranked second. Abe Lincoln is No. 1 with a bullet, while Ronald Reagan comes in at No. 5.
That’s right, co-conspirators. America still believes Bill Clinton was a better president than Ronald Reagan.
You know what that means: The secret meeting is tonight at midnight, behind the warehouse- next to the oak tree- just south of the giant Exxon sign. Three knocks, as usual.

Anyone know how tall Joe Scarborough is? I saw him seated at a table with a guest nearby and the guest looked like a midget and the chair and table looked like doll house furniture.

The liberals are on the ropes. Remember what Rush said, they really go crazy when they're out of power.

Good point. So what you're saying is that she lives in a parallel universe, not in the real world.

That's right. In her world, people who like GWB just don't exist ...with few exceptions. A friend of mine who lives in So. Cal told me recently that she personally knows no Republicans down there ....none. And she's fairly social.

Well Sarandon should know since she was around for the Civil War.
