Since yesterdays speech at the Sharm el-Sheik summit three versions of what George Bush intended to say regarding a future Palestinian states geographical makeup have emerged. Bush himself said that the Palestinian state would have to include continuous territory. White house spokesman Ari Fleischer later clarified that Bush had intended to say contiguous rather than continuous. Secretary of State Colin Powell said that what was most important is that the state not be a series of South African-like Bantustans. The Palestinians must accept it as a state and feel free to move between its territories.

And the Jews who would then be divided by a series of passages that are even now a gauntlet of machinegun fire while under Israel's control are to feel free to drive down shooting gallery way any time the feel like it right?
Only a politician could come up with a solution that is impossible, and while spouting it feel good about himself. Oh wait, fools do that all the time too. Since only one side in this conflict is willing to be reasonable, the victim, then the victim must give in all things the agressor demands.
I have another solution, Give the Pali's Gaza, in trade for their lives. Then annex the west bank. Then the Pali's can travel from one end of their new empire to the other and not have to feel the necessary urges to slaughter Jews along the way.

So, how long have you been a politician?

Well seeing how you cannot divide a square into four sections with an x, then make it so both opposite sides are connected as one contiguous piece for both sets of diagonal corners, that is impossible.
Mine is not only possible, but probable. So I will take your comment as tongue in cheek, not that you cannot understand basic physics. -grin-
