Elon To Meet Evangelical Christians In US

Minister of Tourism Benny Elon will visit the US from 15-19 June to meet with evangelical Christian leaders and launch a campaign entitled "Deter Terrorism and Not Tourism."

In addition, Elon will hold talks with Roberta Combs, President of The Christian Coalition of America, Pat Robertson, Chairman of The Christian Broadcasting Network, Gary Bauer, former Presidential Candidate, Michael Little, President of The Christian Broadcasting Network and Janet Parshall, national Christian radio talk show host.

In a statement, Elon said, “ In the face of terror, the US administration must understand from our Christian evangelical friends the need to fight terror, and not reward killers.

“There can be no double standard. Just as America confronted Iraq, so too we must confront terrorists without limits. During times such as these, as we are being butchered in the streets of Jerusalem, our Christian and Jewish friends in the US understand that we cannot reward terrorism.

“We will not remove settlements or make concessions as our stay in Judea and Samaria is not temporary, and we will not permit the creation of a terrorist state in our biblical heartland."

Seems pointless to me. But I see no harm in Israel trying to protect its religious tourism. And there are some strange ideas about Israel in modern evangelical churches.

Unlikely. Most Jews don't mind the existence of Zionist Christians, but the idea of Messianic Jews really gets under their skin.

I have attended for almost twenty-four years a "modern Evangelical church" which is recognized as the eighth largest in the nation, and staunchly pro-Israel. I curious as to some of the "ideas" you are refering to. (?)
