And with your screenname, I'd hope you're aware of the incident involving a Minuteman missile being transported by rail through Wyoming about a year prior to the Oklahoma City bombing. That one cost the taxpayers a good bit of change, but hey, we've got plenty more, right?

Reckon an old bolt rifle will have to do, but you can see trouble coming from a long ways off in these parts.

Nothing wrong with an old boltgun at all, though it's helpful to have a handgun along should things happen at distances closer than ideal for use of the bolt rifle on your terms. And a shotgun to go along with it, or as a spare for a companion who can do their part by standing watch while you rest will help keep you sharp enough to use it effectively. Alternately, it can be useful for you to have a pal or two with lesser [or even better, equal!] equipment for fun surprises for those who mistakenly assume they're operating against a lone individual with that semi-obsolete rifle.

Too don't overlook the happy thought of opening the ball with a few spaced shots from a lesser weapon, seemingly a .22 bolt action, perhaps, then raising the ante on those who attempt to maneuver to deal with that seemingly limited problem.

Yes- I read those although I am not entirely sure how to interpret them. And just thinking about a "pyramid of power" only gets me all worked up about what is printed on one-dollar bills and secret societies way back to the days of the Crusades... It is somewhat distressing to consider that the Vince Foster "suicide" still stands as a "message" for any high-level federalistas in any branch who are tempted to follow their conscience instead of the law... so yes, the strategies just might be as you claim...

I agree, Travis, I believe there was a lousy made for TV potboiler made several years afterward but it was not only inaccurate, but the actors were totally inept and unbelievable. Given the level of slime which movies and TV have decended into, I am amazed that nobody actually made a feature film about the fiasco. If nothing else, it would show the complete screwup that this became, of course, it would have to include all the simultaneous scandals, ripoff, and embezzlement, which made the Vietnam "Cash for weapons/documents insanity ( the "Chieu Hoi" debacle), where munitions were turned in, stolen, and recycled ad inifintum, including the pathetic attempt to stop the stealing by painting surrendered ordinance yellow ( not effective, as you probably know) pale by comparision. There was so much corruption, embezzlement, and stealing by city employees under the guise of "self help programs", that it became virtually impossiblle to stop any of it.. It became a joke, which perists to this day.

It would made a half decent movie, and probaly be good for some cynical laughs, but I do believe that if someone saw a movie that was close to being accurate, they simply wouldn;t believe it could have ever happened. The crime is that it did, and the insanity has never stopped, Philly is still as, if not more corrupt, run by even more incompetent Demoncrat morons, and when all is said and done is basically a dead city which, for some unfathomable reason, still is breathing. and simply refuses to fall down.. If it were still allowed,(atmospheric testing) the best course of action would be to paint a large aiming point over most of the badlands, and simply use them for bombing practice, thereby creating the necessary urban renewal with the least amount of difficulty... The evacuation required would be a blessing. I for one, do not plan on remaining where I now reside much longer, as I fear the conditions are becoming untenable, which is kind of sad, for I have been here for 33 years, and all in all, have not been too unhappy, however, when the conditions become unacceptable and property values start falling, it's time to pack up my HF/VHF radios since NAVMARCORMARS operations can be conducted anywhere, including the extensive "antenna farm", my firearms collection which actually needs a really decent place to be able to get the maximum enjoyment I can out of exercizing my 2A rights, without having to engage in eternal arguments with liberal neighbors, our 4 felines, who make a house a friendly home, and the family, and get the hell out of Dodge. going to somewhere where I can enjoy life, shoot when and where the hell I want, and not get complaints about "all those wires on my roof". LOL. I might even work on gettting my FAA Commercial medical back, and start flying again, both for fun and profit, as getting back in the cockpit (both fixed wing and helos) would be a wonderful morale booster for me, if I were in a location where I wouldn't have to put up with endless flight restrictions and controlled airspace. This is one time when being diabled is a real asset, as I have no ties, and nothing to lose.

Have you visited Arizona? I think you'd love it. Choose your climate by elevation, it's a beautiful and very libertarian/conservative place compared to most. Texas as well.

Travis, thanks much!! My family and I have seriously considered that state. It has simply become very onerous living "behind enemy lines", and unfortunately, with the comparitive sheeple mentality of most PA voters, who are not FReepers, or other of our ilk, I am seeing the writing on the wall.

For all the talk one hears from the "choir" about "what has to be done when all else fails", and "the support will come out when the fecal material hits the rotating ventilator", unfortunately, too many of this hot air is pure vocal bravado, with nothing backing it up. If things were to go belly up, a distinct possibility given the Demoncrap registration demographics in PA, I wonder, If I turned around, how many of these "brave souls" I would actually see "checking my 6" I kind of suspect there would be a very sparse group, with the exception of those who really belive in Contstitutional Rights, Conservative Values, and this great Republic. Although the number I am familar with, and would trust implicitly, is not small, it's not real large either, and definitely not enough to turn things around. This is a sobering thought, indeed.

Again, many thanks about Arizona. The relocation could help me in more than consitutional and political ways, as the climate would be extremely beneficial for my old injuries and spinal problems, which the so far rotten wx here in the northeast, has created a great deal of problem and pain.

My dad was in a weapons squad in Korea. He said he'd tap out singles/doubles from the machine gun he carried, just so he could eliminate enemy soldiers, but so the shots would still sound like rifle fire. It built the enemy's confidence just enough to get them well out in the open......
