Sheesh, and from CNN no less. Pretty soon FIX will run the exclusive, Breaking banner saying the same. Then Drudge will have the flashing light and the NY Times will write that he's "helping".

Now that's alot to sink your teeth in to.....pass the cheese.

We've had him for over a week before his capture was announced.
Looks like that time was well spent.

That is an overlooked fact, that we have been nabbing these guys sometimes weeks before so as not to tip anyone off..

Maybe they're interrogating him in the same room where Uday left his wood chipper.

We could get some of the goods here, this guy was Saddams bodyguard and knows where all the WMDs and the bodies are buried.

I think we need to appeal to his massive ego. If he doesn't cooperate, we're gonna demote him from the Ace of Diamonds down to the Five of Clubs or something similar.

Believe me, I hope he spills his guts, tells us where to capture Saddam and the boys, and where the WMD's are buried.

I can't even believe the number of Democrats who are playing with fire on that one. They should keep it in their back pockets, and then pull out that card next summer if there's still no solid examples of WMD.

I hope it works out that way. I'll bet half of the Sem senators and Congressmen have film clips of them whining. It could help us get a serious majority in both houses.

Intelligence indicates Saddam may be in Iraq
Nothing from detainees about WMD, officials say
Friday, June 20, 2003 Posted: 11:00 AM EDT (1500 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Two U.S. intelligence agencies have made an assessment that deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is alive and inside Iraq, intelligence officials told CNN.

The assessment -- which officials stress is not proven fact -- was based on recent intercepted communications among Saddam loyalists, as well as interviews with individuals in custody, Iraqis on the street and plausible accounts of Saddam sightings, the officials said.

They said they are very wary, however, that some intercepts and information could have been faked in order to lead the United States astray.

Intelligence sources also told CNN that Gen. Abid Hamid Mahmud Al Tikriti, the top aide to Saddam who was captured Monday, is now offering some information. Mahmud is the highest-ranking member of Saddam's former regime in coalition custody, behind the deposed leader and his sons Uday and Qusay on the U.S. military's most-wanted list. (Flash card deck: Iraq's most-wanted; non-Flash gallery)

Officials would not specify what Mahmud is telling them, but they believe he may have been one of the last people to see the Iraqi leader. Information from Mahmud will also be used to verify statements coming from others in U.S. custody.

The officials also said they have at least one credible report that Saddam may not have been at the Mansour District building in Baghdad bombed by the United States on April 7, as was hoped, and may have escaped from a site south of Baghdad bombed by the United States at the start of the war.

None of the high-level Iraqis on the most-wanted list who have been captured or surrendered has so far offered significant intelligence information regarding weapons of mass destruction, according to officials from at least two U.S. intelligence agencies. Officials say that may change if Saddam is captured, but there are no guarantees.

Intelligence officials have told Bush administration policymakers that some of the low-level officials may be more willing to offer information if and when Saddam is captured, or in exchange for deal protecting them from war crimes charges. U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld indicated Wednesday that the notion of offering "plea bargains" had been discussed.

Speaking of the devil, she has been suspicioulsy silent about WMDs.

Actually, she was on NPR Radio with Juan Williams yesterday morning. Juan did raise the subject with her and she tried to frame it more as a possible problem with source intel - naturally, because her husband also got similar intel and launched Operation Desert Dog, er, Desert Fox. What was interesting was Hillary's statement that SHE also saw this intel at the time. Juan, of course, was too busy fawning over Hitlery to ask the obvious follow-up.

I don't think Hillary wants the concept of the Bush Admin exaggerating intel to justify attacking Iraq pursued - because that is EXACTLY what the Clinton Admin did to justify their war on Serbia over Kosovo.

Me too. This is characteristic of his administration. Kerry stuck his neck in the noose yesterday.
