The 60 min show was about yet another situation, IIRC, wing.

Have also heard 2 diff stories re: how Sarah came to be in Saudi - one was removal from the States by Saudi father after / during a visit, another was her being kept in Saudi after mother allowed Sarah to visit father there (have a tough time seeing a 5-6 yo making a flight to Saudi, tho).

Either way, the father violated US court requirements.

It's sad how women in Saudi Arabia are treated. It wasn't like she chose this life for herself....we should do everything to get this woman and her children out!!!

I see your point but still, why should Sarah and her children suffer a life that she never chose for herself. Her story is a little different than most American women who chose to marry men from the middle east.

Here we go again:-sigh-

Original Story:

23-year-old Sarah Saga and her two children escaped to the U.S. embassy to get away from another abusive Saudi relationship. Miss Saga’s story is typically tragic: Her Saudi father kidnapped Ms. Saga when she was 6 years old and refused to return her to her American mother. Saga grew up and >>>>was forced to marry a Saudi man; she had two children, and then found herself trapped in an abusive relationship.<<<<

Last month she tried to take her children home to America, but once again, the Saudis refused and offered Ms. Saga a Sophie’s Choice: your freedom or your children. Already facing death threats, Ms. Saga chose to escape Saudi soil and finally come home to American soil.

I've been to Saudi a couple of times myself and seen it first hand, they are basically property. Her case is different and if she was kidnapped why wasn't a warrant been issued on the father? Did Sarah give up her U.S. citizenship? Why did her mother abandoned her, and did she get custody in a U.S. court?

Sarah was a US citizen when she was kidnapped and our gov't just threw up its hands when it happened so why worry about it. It isn't like anything wrong was done to a US citizen, right?

Our government IS NOT in the custody business. Tax dollars should not be used to clean up a personal/private mistake (we do enough of that already).

Your post:Exactly;

So from 2:58 to 3:19, took you twenty minutes to remember?

The WSJ is about the only independent, disinterested 3rd party source I've seen, though I'd really like to see direct comments from State / DOJ / WH on this. WND has been carrying the water on the story, but via Pat Roush. WND & Roush had a book launch recently.

The Muzzies don't want anyone straying off Muhammad's plantation and raising their children free from Islamic brainwashing. This is the last shot for her children who because Islamic stooges if left behind in Saudi Arabia. I am sick and disgusted with the State Department which is betraying 3 American citizens and does the Saudi's dirty work.
