I then went to Waldenbooks at the local mall. There, they did have Treason on display in the best seller display (occupying the #1 slot!)
Since I had a Waldenbooks card, I waited at the checkout for a few minutes... no clerk to be seen. I left the book at the register.
I then went to Barnes & Noble... again, Treason was not to be seen in the Best Seller section. Poor Ann was tucked back in the current affairs section in the back of the store.
Did I purchase the book? No, because in every store, not a single copy of Ann's book was marked with the usual discount savings. Hillary's cover was plastered with 30% off.
Not a single conservative political author in ANY of these stores had a discount offer. But, those liberal books sure had them!!!
Well, I had planned to spend the day reading Ann by the pool. Instead, I decided to give TownHall the credit for my Amazon order...and get my 30%.
Did anyone else notice this today?
What I noticed is that when I called Borders to reserve a copy, their computer showed that they had ordered only twelve copies. Hard to have a real bestseller if the large chains refuse to stock the book or make it difficult to find. And, no, it doesn't have a 30% off label on it, as Hillary's does. Does anyone think this is an accident?
I didn't check a bookstore today but I will go out of my way tomorrow. I will be checking a Waldenbooks. If it is on the New Release/ Best Seller display I will purchase it. If not, as you have done so shall I. Good catch.
