June 25, 2003 - Clara Rosenberger, 77, of Jerusalem was one of 30 people killed in a suicide bombing in the Park Hotel in the coastal city of Netanya, in the midst of the Passover holiday seder on March 27, 2002.

On the eve of Passover, the terrorist walked into the dining room of the hotel, located in the center of Netanya, where 250 guests had just sat down to begin the seder. He detonated an explosive device, killing 22 immediately and injuring 140, eight of whom subsequently died. The bomber was identified as a member of the Hamas Iz a Din al-Kassam Brigades, from the West Bank city of Tulkarem, which is just 10 kilometers (six miles) east of Netanya. He was on the list of wanted terrorists Israel had requested be arrested.

Clara Rosenberger, who had gone to the hotel to spend the holiday with several of her friends, suffered a spinal injury in the blast and remained completely paralysed. After extensive treatment in hospital, she was moved to the Nofe Gilo old age home in Jerusalem. An independent and active women, she became deeply depressed and lost her will to live. She stopped eating, did not want to see family and friends, and cut herself off from the world, refusing psychological help. She passed away on June 25, 2003.

Clara was born in Czechoslavakia. At the age of 19 she was transported to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where her father perished. She and her mother were survived and were released a year later and subsequently immigrated to Israel.

Clara Rosenberger was buried in Jerusalem. She is survived by her son and daughter, and seven grandchildren.

Thanks Bush. Arafat and his buddies sure appreciate the CIA training and the millions in aid from your coffers. Friggin coke head.

The roadmap, which the US supports, makes Israel negotiate with the people responsible.

I don't think someone aspiring to wear the uniform of the Marine Corp should go around calling his future CiC a coke head.

1) Stick to subject instead of delving into personal profiles

2) Since its beyond you to do so, I'll simply retort that if Bush wants to conduct Mid East policy as if he was snorting the white gold then he's opened himself up to being called such an epitet.

The subject? I don't agree with Bush's plan for peace with the stupid roadmap but it's because I think it
s doomed for failure because the Pali terrorists can't be negotiated with.

What, you expected to call the President a cokehead and not get a comment. Your not smart enough or man enough to be a Marine.

Sad but true commentary on how the appeasement doctrine is destroying lives on an exponential basis.

Hope you post more articles like this. People need something to balance the TV news ads of 10,000 Pali "close friends and relatives" at the funeral of some terrorist who ordered the murder of a dozen Israeli civilians, beating their breasts, wailing and "vowing revenge" for Western news cameras. Pali propaganda is all the West sees. The media demeans and dehumanizes the very real tragedies that Israelis constantly suffer from terrorism. Then we get Rachael Corries standing in the PA territories, burning American flags, acting as human shields for Pali terrorists and throwing themselves under moving bulldozers.

And if you don't want people to know an aspiring Marine disparages the CiC because he has a overly optimistic view of his ability to promote peace in that region then I suspect your going to have a lot of trouble if you make it through basic training.

If you think all the orders you'll be executing as a Marine will be the kind you respect or agree with you better get a date with reality.

Odd. Bush seems to have full faith that such stupidity will work. Most rational folks who are from this planet think otherwise. Calling Bush a name sure is small potatoes compared to his endorsing a plan which will lead to more death and destruction such as the harmless old woman who's death was featured in this story.

Who are u to judge? Somehow I'm skeptical you've ever gotten off the counch let alone completed any sort of basic training. I'm not a man? Please. Try the mirror first pal.

I gave a little bit for a little while. You've got some growing up to do. Hopefully MCRD will help you.

"Friggin coke head."

You have him confused with Clinton. The Palis will behave themselves and get their state...or die. In fact, if they don't behave themselves after they get their state, they'll die. However, everyone, including the president, is well aware the Palis' true goal is the total destruction of Iarael. Therefore the question of an independent Pali state has been made moot by the Palis themselves.

The Bush administration does not deal with Yasser. Yasser is a non-entity.

You want to be a MARINE? Uh...good luck. Know who the enemy is, and don't accuse your Commander and Chief of being a coke head. I don't recall anyone in the military publically calling Clinton a coke head while he was in office, even though everyone knows he is one. For your information, President Bush does not use cocaine.

point taken but why the hell is the CIA training his forces? And why in G-d's name are we giving the Pali Authority cash? My terming him a cokehead is done as much out of frustration as genuine curiosity as to whether an individual has to be ingesting narcotics as to think like that.

I'm sure every member of the armed forces thought quite highly of Bubba when HE was in office right? Gimme a break. One's personal thoughts on Bush's actions in the MId East and the corresponding disgust are VERY different than respecting the office itself. Thanks for the personal attack too btw.

"Bush seems to have full faith that such stupidity will work"

With a chip that size, you're going to have a tough time not being politically proactive if you make it through boot camp and into active duty. Indeed, with the baseless opinions and venom you are spewing about your possible future CnC, I can honestly say I wouldn't want you watching my back.

baseless opinions? So the "Roadmap," the CIA training and the money Bush is shelling out is some sort of phantasm I've pulled out of thin air? Is it too much to ask for anyone to respond to that??

I don't agree with it either, because I've been studying those b@stards for 30 years and know them well enough not to trust them. I hope I'm wrong. Working with Abbas is a huge gamble. At least we're not sucking up to Yasser anymore.

They did not make their personal thoughts public. Uniformed military to not have the option to be politically proactive. Perhaps you'll understnd better if you make it into the Marines.
