I've met quite a few queers. Overall, they are a hapless, self-loathing lot once you peel the "fluff" away.
I used to be much more tolerant of them, but today in New York, there are gay neighborhoods, where if you're white, and don't look like you fit in, strangers come up to you and shove you. One of those neighborhoods was Chelsea, in lower Manhattan. Used to go to a Puerto Rican restaurant there for my coffee, before my son was born. They had the best espresso in town. You'd be surprised at how hard it is to find a good cup of Joe in Manhattan. The yuppies drink "cappucinos," or think that espresso is supposed to taste bitter as hell.
As far as I'm concerned, what consenting adults do behind closed doors is their own business (short of one killing the other). But when they start trying to force their ways on me and mine, I draw the line.
