Back on June 6th, we, the Freeple, helped propel OO-RAH Magazine, a site featuring the US Marines and their stories, a well-deserved 7.049 rating out of 10 on the coolness scale. To put that in perspective, only five sites got a 6 or higher rating in June, and only two of those five were in the sevens. Now we have an opportunity to vote for OO-Rah as Cool Site of the Month, so go forth and give 'em your vote!

Suppose one day you tried to log on and Free Republic wasn’t there?

Where would you get your up to the minute news? How about the live threads as things are happening?

How would you know about the latest Demorat scams, anti-second amendment schemes and all the other liberal, anti-American ploys that are tried every single day?

Insight into world affairs, brilliant wit, sharp retorts, instant information gratification are a few of the things that make FR so vital.

How would you keep on top of things without FR?

Air Force. Sorry, my daddy (Navy 1940-1946) AND Army (1950-1954) always said "The Air Force is for girls" and now it's come true, my girl's in the Air Force.

My uncle and my brother, both Marines, were very nice about it, although my brother did allow that at any time she should just mosey on over to LaJuene and become a "real warrior"!

Wow, that's humbling. I'm reminded of an adage I heard a few months back:

Television Age: Everyone is famous for 15 minutes.
Internet Age: Everyone is famous to 15 people.

As for basic training, tell her I'll pray for her, and that she is part of the absolute elite cream of the American crop. There are few finer human beings as a group than members of the United States Military.
