Congressman Jim Gibbon, R-Nev., launched a campaign Saturday for a voter initiative that would force the Legislature to fund public education before spending on other areas of state government could be considered.
Gibbons unveiled his plan before a cheering crowd of more than 100 anti-tax hard-liners on the steps of the Supreme Court in Carson City. The former Washoe County assemblyman said he is opening the campaign because he is livid with the Supreme Court

Note to Nevadans: Sharon Angle, Washoe county assemblywoman, is going to file a class action lawsuit re. the NVSC decision. I just heard about the lawsuit last night and won't be able to contact Sharon until Monday, so stay tuned for more info. She supposedly is looking for people that want to participate in the lawsuit.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more comment. Great move by Jim Gibbons, both in principle and politically. He should definitely run against Harry Reid, and I think he'll win. (Even if he lost he'd get the governorship in 2006.)
I posted it yesterday when there wasn't much traffic.
