Conservatives who do not firmly support Republican candidates thereby contribute to Democrat victories, and so are the real RINOs.

The ONLY reason to vote Republican is to help keep the communist out, but the pubes aren't that much better than the dems are. They are wishy-washy on gun control, abortion, states rights, and government spending has increased under the Bush administration. So much for smaller limited government.

Conservatives who do not firmly support Republican candidates thereby contribute to Democrat victories, and so are the real RINOs. And exactly what is the difference between electing a Republican and a Democrat if the Republican is a Jim Jeffords, Arlen Specter, Jim Kolbe or other such disreputable individual? They are one in the same with your average Democrat as they are all liberals.

Conservatives who do not firmly support Republican candidates thereby contribute to Democrat victories, and so are the real RINOs.Whatever. Conservatives who blindly support a candidate, just because said candidate claims to be a Republican, hurt the GOP as much as anything else. We have way too many politicians claiming to be Republican, who don't act like it in practice, and yet continue to get resources simply because they label themselves Republicans.
I remember back in the 80s and into the 90s in Texas, many democrats switched to the GOP when it became clear the state was leaning more and more and right, and these politicians were welcomed with open arms. Now many are in positions of leadership and authority within the state. I still have a hard time trusting anybody who switched political parties simply because they saw which way the wind was blowing. Sure, it was a smart thing to do, but just because they were good at spotting trends doesn't mean they make good Republicans.
Call me a RINO if you want, but I do not automatically support somebody who calls themself a Republican, they have to earn my support.
