Dude, I'll be straight wi' ya. I don't understand most artists. In general, I don't understand anybody who doesn't realize the profound significance of 6 * 10^-34 J*sec. I guess I'm kinda dense that way, especially if the politics are deplorable. At least my crowd has some modicum of rationality in life; I would speculate that I would find your crowd unbearable. Nice to meet an artist-type with more than just background frequency going on upstairs.

I will say that I DID prefer being in the military, field artillery, where things made much more sense.
I do graphite pencil sketches, and sometimes dabble with watercolor.
Honestly, there's some artists that I myself absolutely cannot understand.
You probably would find the art crowd unbearable.
Me, I stink at math and always had trouble with algebra or worse.
Artillery was different and math wasn't a problem.
If it couldn't be blown up, it at least could be blown over or moved.
Once out of uniform, things got boring real quick.
And rightly so, nothing exploding.

Didn't make it to the last artist get together, I was busy at the time, so the ambient mental hiss types didn't feel ice in their shorts this time.
