Sigh. So Rush is just another conservative working for the Davis campaign. I'm disappointed.

Well, at least if he's elected I won't feel so ashamed of New York. :-(

I don't care what happens in California. But Arnold would support President Bush's re-election so that's why I hope he wins instead of a Democrat.

Rush's problem is that if you aren't 100% conservative, he isn't thrilled with you. He should apply the same viewpoint to Schwarzenegger as he does to Bush: he's not perfect, but he's sure as hell better than a Democrat. I hope a caller points that out to him.

Here are some screen shots from last nights Tonigh Show. Right click, view, to see the full size 640x480 shots.
For what it's worth, the Today Show was reporting that Arnold is pro choice, pro homosexual rights and pro gun control. I believe this is accurate. He is also pro ever expanding government programs such as after school activities to the tune of $500 million.
Yeah, but he's a (R)epublican. It's okay. ;-) LOL

Justify your assertion, please.

Schwarzenegger's just another left-winger who realizes he'll get a lot more attention pretending to be a Republican than he would as just one more Hollywood Democrat. That being said, it can't get much worse than Gray Davis..

Take heart, Jamie Lee Curtis has endorsed Arnold today.
To: Texas_Dawg
The thing I don't understand regarding this Arnold=Gray Davis=Bloomberg crap is that the Dems don't want Arnold to win so how is it possible for their analogy to hold up? If Arnold is Gray Davis, but more popular, they should throw Davis over the railing and rally behind Arnold. They aren't doing this, of course. Therefore, there is a difference and it's a difference that Dems don't care for.
To: Constitutionalist Conservative
Riordan could have gotten elected last time, but he wasn't pure enough for certain conservatives. So they essentially worked for Davis by spiking a genuinely electable candidate in favor of one who simply wasn't going to appeal to enough people, pure though he may have been.
Democracy is the art of compromise. Schwarzenegger is not perfect, but he is going to be able to appoint a whole new round of (Republican) state officials, probably turn the state for Bush in 04, and is sure going to be a lot more responsive to conservative concerns than ANY Dem.
Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot again.

Like I said elsewhere, if Arnie is a MODERATE, I can stomach that... but I can't stomach a Bloomberg RINO. Pete Wilson is a good example of a moderate Republican. No, Wilson wasn't my favorite, but he wasn't a complete disaster either. At least he tried to keep our state from being overrun with illegals.

There was report on the radio today that people are pouring out of California and New York (with the exception of illegals into Cali). There is good reason to leave these Socialist cesspools.

Rush obviously has something against Arnold. He was totally WRONG in his "prediction," just as he was totally wrong in his predictions about Hillary in 2000.
I understand Rush's concern, but it all depends on what you hear: Rush hears, "programs" for women and children. I hear, "bring back businses" and a tribute to America that Rush, above all, should be proud of.
Can anyone SERIOUSLY see any major Dem making that "immigrant" speech that Arnold gave? Get off it Rush.

Arnold should promote fiscal responsibility, in order to get CA out of the red. The programs he was mentioning in his speech have to be paid for, and will only worsen CA's problems. Hopefully Arnold shapes up, because folks, there is a good chance he will be the next Governor.
