I too think the use of ravaging might be a little strong. Especially considering the infected group is such a small and isolated group. There are 13,000 students at NCSU alone. Sixty cases is hardly an epidemic.

I have three kids in college right now. Two at NCSU, one at Meredith. They all report that homosexuals are a definite tiny minority that are bemusedly tolerated, no more.

One note on ClancyJ's ill-advised posting on this thread:

Why is it that anyone who speaks against homosexuality is labeled as either homophobic or a gay-hater? That is the rhetoric of the left, ClancyJ. Most of us are just tired of hearing about it. Most of America thinks it is an aberrant, deviant behavior, but most of America is willing to ignore it as long as it isn't shoved in our faces.

Besides, as someone pointed out earlier, Mother Nature seems to be taking care of the problem in her own, inexorable way.
