It won't significantly change the fact that Arnold is losing support by the day and sits on his hands while the conservatives coalesce around McClintock.

Maybe the media, Oprah, Rob Lowe, etc. will save the Governator. Maybe not.

But you can't discount the scenario in which Arnold siphons support from Bustamonte while McClintock gets in with rock solid backing from the irrepressible conservative base that brought about this recall in the first place.

In a special election like this, it's gonna be about turnout. No group will turn out as forcefully as conservatives. So far, all Arnold is doing is alienating them.
