The whole idea of charging kids with felonies for this is evil, beyond redemption.
My grandparents married at 15 and 14 - now, kids in the same circumstances are disabled of their voting rights, their rights to own guns, forever, why?
I get really angry about our societies bipolar disorder on this issue.
At seventeen, I was a machinegunner in the dreaded 82nd Airborne Division.
At 20, I got sent to CA - Still had my machine gun, but unable to buy a beer. WTF????

Some states permit kids to have sex at an age lower than "age of consent" with parental approval but not all do.
What good is an "age of consent" law if kids can consent to sex at any age?

Some people might think the Earth will be destroyed tomorrow since I actually agree with you, as a Christian conservative.
Look, in the Puritan days, people would routinely married at 14.
Enforcing kid morals is the job of parents, not the govt.

Regarding children and sex, let each parent decide. In Canada, if a 12 year old girl wants to shack up with some guy, the mother taking her child away is considered to be a kidnapper.

My grandparents married at 15 and 14And most likely died before reaching the age of 65.
But this article is not about "kids getting MARRIED," and that makes it a slightly different issue, eh?
