SACRAMENTO - The Oakland Raiders scored a partial victory in court Tuesday, as a jury awarded the team $44.2 million and found Oakland coliseum officials had acted negligently when negotiating to bring the team back from Los Angeles by promising a packed stadium.
The verdict in the team's suit was far less than the $570 million to $833 million it sought to compensate for low ticket sales and the declining value of the franchise by 2010 when the contract expires.

Will this be the same jury that will be hearing the Bill Romanowski assault trial?

Nope.

I like this headline:
Romanowski hurts teammate in practice fight
Just think how bad Marcus could have been hurt in a real fight.

But sales were not as brisk as expected and optimistic news of sellouts was overshadowed later by word that about 10 percent of applications failed when checks bounced or credit cards were rejected. Raiturd Nation has bad credit? Who knew?

I couldn't post the entire article because AUTO-EXCERPT was in play here.
Seems we're not supposed to post entire articles from BayArea.com anymore

My understanding was that excerpting only applied to LAT/WP. Admin if I'm wrong, delete my post please.

Maybe if I had a different source for the AP article, we'd be cool. I'm going to try to use a different source for AP articles from now on. This is a recent change regarding BayArea.commie articles.

My understanding was that excerpting only applied to LAT/WP. And companies/papers/magazines owned by them.

Al Davis is one of the most astute guys in the NFL. To say he got taken in by a bunch of civil servents is rediculous. He knew or should have known what was going on with ticket sales in Oakland. Al Davis still thinks he owns the rights to an NFL team in LA, even though he moved back to Oakland years age. If another team moves to LA he will probably threaten to sue and probably will win some money from the NFL so that he will not sue. Davis is truly scum.

Davis is truly scum. Bump. And weird, too.
To: Uncle Hal
Davis is truly scum. Yes, but he's a snappy dresser.
