MSNBC | 8/28/03

Posted on 08/28/2003 12:13:59 PM PDT by Merovingian

MSNBC had an item on NEW rumblings about HRC running in 2004.. It was in conjunction with more on Wes Clark also getting serious about a run..Mentioned something about a 'high level mtg' that the OTHER Dem candidates were informed of.... Ickes has formed a 'soft money group' which could benefit HRC, and, again, some high level mtg about the possibility of her running. ..Nachman and Bill Press will be discussing this SOON on msnbc...tune in NOW.

Yes, be VERY afraid of the BEECH as if (when) she runs--and she WILL...EVERY person who voted for GORE is a Hitliary voter...not to mention the massive voter fraud that will take place. Mark my words, she will win it unless the ENTIRE right wing conspiracy stands up and votes in the numbers we'll need...standing by for orders, channel X-Ray.

If she runs (and I hope not) this will be the most contentious, nasty and mean election ever ran in the US. She is such polarizing figure both sides will be out for blood. Her running, even if she would lose, would split this nation for years to come. I see nothing good coming out of her running even if she would lose 49 out of 50 states.

I have to disagree. This is the same thing people said after the 2000 election debacle, that the Democrats would "never forget" and the entire nation would be at each other's throats for years afterwards. But everyone except the hardest of the hardcore, mean-spirited, bitter socialist lefties got over it within weeks. And the bitter socialist lefties never get over anything, so who cares what they think.

more likely to provide "defense gravitas" to the ultralib who gets the nomination

"Defense gravitas"? Wesley Clark?! The guy who claims that aliens contacted him via the White House switchboard on 9/11? The guy who saved Europe from the monumental threat of Serbia? He's the Democrats most serious military man to run since George B. "Case-of-the-Slows" McClellan.

There should be enough damaging facts on the Xlintons to have an FR feature: "On this date in Clinton Infamy."

It will be as contentious as the 1860 election, which did indeed divide the nation, and in a very tragic way. Perhaps that is what she wants.

No way she resigns her senate seat. She is going to hedge all her bets.

9-11 was ironically enough a big factor in the forgetting part for this country. Except of course for the hard core left but they're ALWAYS pissed off about something or other.

Hillary would HATE it if Dean won the election, not only could she not run until 2012, McCaullife would be gone and Hillary would likely be isolated. Dean's insurgency is likely forcing Hillary to even more consider what she wants now anyways...Trouble for her, is Dean is pushing her to declare earlier than she'd like.

Hillary shouldn't have to compete in primaries like the rest of the candidates! She's a former first lady! They should just annoint her!

Dean is McGovern and would lose horribly to Bush.

He's not McGovern. He can, and will, move sharply toward the political center for the general election if he gets the nomination. KEEP THOSE CLIPPINGS regarding his current far-left bloviations, because come '04 the media will "forget" them to serve their party.
